Diomics has seven (7) patent families directed to various uses and formats of its soluble and hydrophilic polycaprolactone (PCL) material, which it refers to as its DIOMAT™ material.  Five (5) patent families relate to apparatuses and methods related to the capture of biological materials (e.g., DNA) and bioinformation (e.g., fingerprints), and Diomics has six (6) granted US patents and three (3) granted foreign patents in those five families. Granted claims include methods of extracting nucleic acids from biologic samples; biologic sample collection devices; and hydrophilic thin film for fingerprint and DNA collection. The other two of the seven total families are currently pending as U.S. provisional applications: one to topical patches for delivery of active agents such as drugs or nutraceuticals, and the other to stem cell delivery vehicles.
